Top Ten Tuesdays: Favorite Covers

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten.

For today’s topic, I will be listing down my top 10 favorite covers of all time! Every bookworm has to admit that there are times in our life that we judge a book by its cover. Some of the books I listed down are cover-buys. This list is not in particular order, and only books that I’ve read so far This list wouldn’t be including all those gorgeous books that I haven’t read yet.

So without further ado, let’s get down to listing!

First Line Fridays #3

It’s been a while since I’ve done this, so here’s a feature of one of the books I’m currently reading!

flf

First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?

  • Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page
  • Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first
  • Finally… reveal the book!

“There’s blood on my hands, blood between my toes, blood speckled in my hair. It’s splashed across my chest, and to my horror, I can taste a few droplets on my lips.”

How I “Try” to Read Books While In Med School

This is my last week of Christmas break before I start another grueling semester of school. Happily, I was able to finish 10 books from the moment I began my break (which was on 22nd of December) until today. It’s actually a huge improvement because I had to rush on my reading challenge last year because I was like 4-5 books behind schedule. I barely reached my 90 books goal of that year. For 2018, I’ve lowered that number down to 50 books, as I know I wouldn’t be able to reach a really high number anymore. I actually remember my friends (who are in the upper batches) tell me that I should stop reading books a month prior my first day of classes because I will be reading a hell of stuff once classes start. And oh boy they were right.
